March 19, 2018 | 6:00 - 8:30 Creating an Anthology for the Memory-Impaired In 2007, the Women’s National Book Association designated the month of March as National Reading Month. Come listen to local writers read their flash fiction stories between 500 and 750 words in the recently published anthology, The Collection: Flash Fiction for Flash Memory co-edited by local writer Anne Anthony. Reading aloud is often the first experience of story; parents tuck children beneath their covers, snuggle beside them on the bed, and crack open the book. Learn how later in life reading to friends and family offers an opportunity to connect with those hampered by memory loss.
